What is a good muscle building routine that requires no equipment?
Let's assume I have no weights, no pull-up bar, nothing, as is often the case with me and my travels. What is a good workout that will 1) increase my endurance and 2) build functional but aesthetically pleasing muscle?

Do tons of push ups and other body weight exercises like squats, crunches, planks, running, sprinting, etc. You can put on a backpack with tons of heavy books and do push ups with it. You can also fill milk jugs with sand or water and use those as weights. These are just a few suggestions, there are thousands of ways you can exercise and gain muscle. You won't gain a ton of muscle because the books and the backpack can only go so far, and the weight will need to be increased in order to gain even more muscle.
